Our annual Dean Lake boat parade is Thursday July 4th at 4 o’clock. The theme is “Anything Goes” so decorate as you please.
People in the parade put a lot of time and effort into decorating their boats for the parade, so we have a few guidelines this year that we hope everyone will follow.
- Starting at the Island, the boat parade will do at least one complete loop around the lake so everyone can view the boats, and our judges can review and submit their votes for the best decoration.
- The water fights are very popular, but we are asking to hold off until everybody makes it around the lake one time so the boats can be judged, and so the decorations aren’t messed up by incoming water balloons and the like.
- There are some boat parade participants who do not want to be in the water fights, so please be respectful of these boats.
- Everyone on shore throwing and spraying water – please allow the parade to do a complete lap before joining in.
